Giclee Prints - (pronounced "zhee-clay")
Sharon has many requests for prints of the many original oil and acrylic paintings she has done over the years. Her first endeavor was to find a printer that uses a high quality printer and paper to print these Giclees. She was fortunate to find Miqui Mendes of "Southwest by Miqui." Miqui is a skilled craftsman with professional Giclee printers, equipment and the experience to produce fine quality collectable prints.
As many of you know, Giclee prints differ from home printer and most copy center printing capabilities, providing extraordinary quality and beauty. Giclee prints use high quality, long-lasting inks and papers in their process, often using as many as twelve ink colors for replication that home printers with only three or four colors cannot duplicate. Miqui, the Giclee printer, suggested creating a limited edition for each print to maintain value and appreciation for the collectors who had already selected Sharon's prints for their art collections. "Limited Edition" + number = maximum number produced for that painting.
